Delete your XylaWorks account

Two controls, both automated and both yours: delete selected data and keep your account, or close the account and delete the data associated with it.

This page applies to the XylaWorks app for iOS and Android and to the XylaWorks web application at app.xylaworks.com. The controls below are the same in each. The full terms, including what may be retained after deletion, are in Privacy Policy §12.

Delete selected data and keep your account

  1. Sign in and open Settings.
  2. Choose Privacy & Data.
  3. Select the information you want removed — uploaded documents, assessment responses, career-profile fields, or generated outputs — and confirm.

Your account stays open. Deleting selected data does not close it.

Close your account and delete its data

  1. Sign in and open Settings.
  2. Choose Danger Zone, then Close My Account.
  3. Type DELETE to confirm.

From a web browser you can go straight to the same control at https://app.xylaworks.com/settings/danger. If you are not signed in you will be asked to sign in first and then returned to it. You do not need the mobile app installed to use this route.

What happens next

  • After you confirm, the account and its associated personal data are scheduled for permanent deletion following a 30-day grace period. During that period the account is pending deletion — it is not a freeze or a deactivation.
  • When the process completes, XylaWorks deletes account-associated personal data from active systems: the account and profile record, authentication identifiers under XylaWorks' control, your profile photo, uploaded files and documents, career-profile information, assessment responses, user-generated content, and stored platform outputs. Deletion is also requested from service providers where our contracts and the services involved require it.
  • Limited information may be retained where the law requires or permits it, for example transaction records. Privacy Policy §12.3 lists what may be retained and for how long.

Sponsored accounts

If an institution, workforce program, or employer sponsored your seat, the agreement with that organization may govern retention or return of certain records. The deletion controls above still apply to your account; the Privacy Policy describes the organization's obligations in §9.
