The standard we build to, how it is checked, and how to reach us when something is in the way.
Our standard
XylaWorks builds this website, the candidate web application at app.xylaworks.com, and the XylaWorks iOS and Android apps to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That standard is also the basis of the Section 508 and ADA Title II requirements that institutional and workforce-program buyers procure against.
Conformance status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA: it is built to the standard and checked on every change, and an independent audit has not yet been completed. "Partially conformant" is the W3C term for content that conforms in most respects; we use it because we would rather state the status than overstate it.
How it is checked
- Automated checks with axe-core (WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA rules) run against the site's pages as part of the build and test suite.
- Keyboard-only passes: every control is reachable and operable with a keyboard, focus is always visible, and no fixed element covers the focused control.
- Reduced motion: animation is disabled when the operating system requests it.
- Color contrast: text meets 4.5:1 and large text and controls meet 3:1 against their backgrounds.
- Semantic structure: landmarks, one heading outline per page, labelled form controls, and native controls before custom ones.
Known limitations
- Sign-in through third-party providers and payment pages are operated by those providers and are outside our control.
- Documents you generate on the platform (résumés, cover letters) are exported as you designed them; the platform does not alter their structure after export.

If any part of the site or apps is difficult to use with assistive technology, tell us at support@xylaworks.com or through the contact page. Say what you were trying to do, the page or screen, and the technology you use. Reports are handled by the engineering team that builds the platform.
